The worst credit card ever! They put you on the spot and report you immediately when late payment. No phone call and ather options like pay by phone are available . They put my credit score 38 points just because I forgot to make a payment . I am not planning to use their credit card anymore and just pay the remaining $250 and stop shopping in Nordstrom . There are other department stores too. Very lazy customer service . I spent few thousand dollars there and planning to stop the business with them . It is all about the money not individual approach . So greedy!!!

I love Nordstrom. Or should I say, loved. I have been using the debit rewards program for a few years. A month ago I was checking out and offered a credit card and so I applied. I was offered a 5K limit. This was verbally stated. I then received the card in the mail with a paper that verified this credit limit. After using the card for a few weeks earning points to shop in their stores, i.e. using it at the market and for gas, I created an online account. The account status also verified the credit limit. In six weeks I used almost all of the available credit. And they did not like that. They decided to rescind their agreement and without communicating any change occurred they simply cut the credit limit in half which immediately put my account in an over limit status. They said the limit I was given was a clerical error. Which is a flat out lie.In my experience businesses who respect their customer or need their customer to return will put their foot where their mouth is. If they say the fare is $100 and it was a clerical error, they honor it. But not Nordstrom. When I make an agreement with someone or something, it means I will keep my word. And quite frankly, if I do not, the bank would hold me to it until I do. There is no path for me to force them to keep their word. Therefore this is not a mutual business relationship but a one sided taker relationship. As far as I understand economics, the 18-22% interest is the risk payoff that they earn to keep their part in this relationship.Presently, there is a manufacturer who is producing a sofa because they thought I had money to order it. So did I. Nordstrom decided not to honor their word and they have rescinded the charge a month after it was previously approved. Since I am a woman of my word, I'm going to have to scramble to pay this manufacturer.I will pay the Nordstrom card off in one lump sum and cut it up never to use their banking or reward system again. I won't give takers who do not respect their custo"

One of my go to cards, I have the Nordstrom Signature card and it works perfectly for ANY purchases I make...extremely reliable. I have the lowest interest rate offered which is better than any other store, period. 11.65. I shop at Bloomies, I use my Nordstrom card. Most store cards APR is 25 to 26 percent APR. I do shop there quite a bit so it is a win win for me. EXcellent service best return policy on the market! A great place to Shop and exceptional quality merchandise!

Not reliable for non-Nordstrom purchases

They will decline a non-Nordstrom purchase at the drop of a hat, always mouthing the "it's for your protection" line. It doesn't matter if it's for $7 or $700, they will declare it suspicious. It's like they are dictating what I can buy, when, and how much I pay for it. As a result I use other credit cards more, limiting this one to Nordstrom purchases only.

We have always had a very good experience with customer service for Nordstrom Visa Signature. No foreign transaction fee a bonus. We easily obtained cards for all family members. The bonus rewards are nice. I think it is a good card.

How To Apply For A Credit Card

Credit card applications are straightforward, but you'll need to meet some minimum financial requirements to get approved for the best credit card offers. Learn how to apply for a credit online and what to expect after you click submit.

  • Knowing your credit score and what's on your credit report can help you determine what products to apply for. If you have fair credit, for example, you may not want to apply for a card that clearly states that only applicants with excellent credit will be approved.
  • If you don't have good credit, you may find it difficult to get approved for a card with a large sign-up bonus and a lucrative reward structure. Each credit card application ends up on your credit report, so the Nerds recommend using our credit cards comparison tool to find a card that fits your credit profile before applying.
  • If the card allows balance transfers, you may request to have balances transferred from other credit card accounts to the new card.
  • To apply for a credit card in the US, you’ll need a valid Social Security number and a positive credit history. The best rewards credit cards may require at least three to five years of good credit history, and some more than seven.
